Common questions about the program.

Is it really instant?

Yes. Submit the form and your link is live and earning the moment you hit go — no waiting on a review queue. You get the link on the next screen and in your inbox. We can still pause a link later if someone abuses it, but the default is open: we'd rather trust people who make good work.

What exactly do I earn?

30% of every payment a customer you referred makes — recurring, for the entire life of their subscription. No 12-month cap, no step-down. If they pay Halopen $179 a year for five years, you earn 30% of all five years.

How does the tracking work?

Your link is halopen.com/yourname. Anyone who clicks it gets a 30-day first-touch cookie; when they subscribe, the sale is credited to you and the commission lands in your dashboard automatically. First touch wins — once someone is attributed to you, they stay yours.

How and when do I get paid?

Via PayPal. A commission is "pending" for the first 30 days after a payment (the refund window), then becomes payable. We send payouts monthly once your payable balance crosses the minimum. Set your PayPal email in your dashboard any time.

What if my audience is small?

Apply anyway. Specificity beats volume — a 2,000-follower account that talks about Claude Code workflows can out-convert a 200,000-follower general-tech channel. Everyone gets the same 30% lifetime rate; standout partners can earn custom deals (just reply to your welcome email).

Do I need US tax documents?

Only if you're a US tax resident earning above the IRS reporting threshold (currently $600/year) — then we'll need a W-9. Outside the US you may need a W-8BEN depending on your country's treaty with the US. We'll reach out when you get close.

Can I lose my account?

Yes — for misrepresenting yourself, self-clicking your own link, bidding on the Halopen brand name in ads, spamming forums/comments with your link, or anything that would feel sketchy if a customer saw it. Two house rules keep us both clean: disclose the affiliate relationship (an "#ad / affiliate link" note), and don't run ads on our brand name.
